Calumet backgrounds are constructed from 65% cotton/poly blend muslin. They are hand painted with an acrylic-based paint. They are not flame retardant. Backgrounds should not be machine-washed or dry-cleaned. Care should also be taken not to get the background wet. You may notice some rub off on your hands during handling.
